WebSitePulse 2008 Valentine's Day Report Highlights

  • February 14, 2008 Hallmark.com website closed the door in front of last minute Valentine

    Hallmark.com Outage
Hallmark.com website was working fine up until 8:30 this morning. Right around this time the site stopped responding to most requests and most of the time was returning "Page Not Found" message to all its visitors. At 11:30, either the visitor requests dropped down, or additional resources were provided to support the website and its infrastructure, and as a result the home page was accessible and visitors were able to send e-cards. As of this moment shopping on the website is not possible and we continue to keep an eye on the issue. Once we have more information, updates will be posted here.
UPDATE: The normal operation of the shopping engine at Hallmark resumed at 6:30pm EST.
  • February 13, 2008 Proflowers.com under heavy load: The website was struggling to cope with the crowd at noon, and according to our measurements, wasn't always able to. The response times returned back to their normal levels after 5pm EST. Hallmark started to get its share of traffic later in the day. No real problems were detected, but the response times almost doubled in the evening.
