Libertytax.com website is down again for more than 9 hours


After having its website unavailable for more than 15 hours on April 21, Libertytax.com got hit today with more than 9 hours of downtime, reports WebSitePulse. This time the problem was related to the DNS system taking care of the website domain name records. The domain name of Libertytax.com could not be resolved from anywhere in the US and in the World and online visitors trying to open any web page from the website were greeted by a message "This page cannot be displayed".

The problem was first detected by our Chicago monitoring location at 11:44 pm EST on April 22nd and confirmed by all other locations used for this Report. During the downtime period, the website was checked every 3 minutes simultaneously from all 3 US locations designated for this Report. It was also constantly verified manually by our technicians. At 8:55 am EST on April 23rd, the DNS servers resumed normal operation and the web site was back online.
