The Reverse DNS Gadget performs a reverse DNS lookup for a specific IP address and returns the hostname associated with that IP address. Common use of the Reverse DNS test is to ensure PTR record for a given host is set up correctly and available for resolving. You can select between several of the WebSitePulse monitoring locations for the test, which will be performed in real-time.
