WEBSITEPULSE™ REPORTS LIBERTYTAX.COM EXPERIENCES SEVERE WEBSITE PROBLEMS DURING THE ACTIVE TAX E-FILING SEASON

Orlando, FL - (April 24, 2007) - WebSitePulse - a leading provider of global, independent and remote monitoring of web applications and e-business transactions reports that LibertyTax.com was unavailable for more than 24 hours for the last three days.

As a result of the first incident, the website of one of the leading tax e-file providers was unavailable continuously for online users for more than 15 hours starting at 10:22 pm EST on April 20th. The LibertyTax.com home page and all other internal web pages displayed "Server Error in '/' Application" which is equivalent to the "Internal Server Error" message.

"Our monitoring agent in San Francisco first detected the problem with the website and triggered the alarm," said Iavor Marinoff - CEO of WebSitePulse. "LibertyTax website availability was immediately tested from several additional locations on our monitoring network, other independent network resources and by an authorized technician, as part of our false alarm prevention procedure. The web site service was restored 15 hours and 38 minutes later, exactly at 2:00 pm EST on April 21st."

Within two days, on April 22, the DNS servers responsible for the LibertyTax website failed, resulting in more than 9 hours of the website being completely inaccessible.

"The problem was first detected by our Chicago monitoring location at 11:44 pm EST on April 22nd and confirmed by all other locations used for this Report." added Iavor Marinoff - CEO of WebSitePulse. "The domain name of the website could not be resolved by online visitors' web browsers and the website was not accessible from anywhere in the United States and the rest of the World. Online visitors and users of the LibertyTax website trying to open any web page saw "This page cannot be displayed" message. At 8:55 am EST on April 23rd, the DNS servers resumed normal operation and the web site was back online. The DNS resolution problem caused a total website downtime of 9 hours and 10 minutes."

LibertyTax.com, the second largest international tax service started by the founder of Jackson Hewitt, is part of the WebSitePulse 2007 Tax Performance and Uptime Report generated daily between April 05 and April 26 2007.
