September 22nd, 2005Houston, TX monitoring location and Hurricane Rita

With regards to the Hurricane Rita approaching the Texas coasline, we would like to inform you that our monitoring station is located in a best-in-class Datacenter in Houston, Texas and all possible measures have been taken from our end. According to the Datacenter management, all their systems are secured, robust, and redundant and no operational interruptions related to Hurricane Rita are anticipated. However, we are taking double precautions to protect your web-investment. We will be watching the storm status and the operation of the Datacenter in Houston 24/7, and in case of power outage or other unexpected disruption of service, we will immediately switch all monitored targets to another monitoring location, part of our global network.

We are pleased to announce a new feature: Web Page Snapshot of the pages monitored during Full Page checks. This allows you to see exactly what the WebSitePulse system saw during the most recent check so that if there's a problem, you will be better able to troubleshoot it. This option is available in the Details and the reporting sections. The new feature increases the value of Full Page monitoring because now Webmasters can have a reliable reference point when investigating e-commerce or other functional problems.

November 23rd, 2004Monitoring location migration

Please be advised that on November 25, 2004 at 5:00 am EST we will migrate our San Francisco monitoring server to a new data center. We do not expect any downtime but the IP address of this monitoring location will be changed from 69.50.184.26 to 69.59.185.156

If you need to add the new IP to your firewall or log-analyzing software, please do so before the announced day and time.

October 22nd, 2004Monitoring location IP change

Please be advised that on October 22, 2004 at 4:00 am EDT we will change the IP address of our monitoring location in Brisbane, Australia from 202.76.147.143 to 202.60.69.100.

We have just performed an upgrade of the WebSitePulse.com WSDL API. The new version allows you to receive uptime statistics for periods larger than a month and fixes some minor issues with the WSDL definition file. Although the upgraded version is fully backward compatible we recommend you to download the updated definition file from the link below:

February 27th, 2004New Feature - Reset Monitoring Statistics

Based on our Customers? requests we have added the option ?Reset Stats? which will reset the data for the monitored web site, web server or web transaction. Especially useful to reset your monitoring results once you have completed the set up of a particular target and want to remove any errors from the statistics which were as a result of miss-configuration or other error not related to the operation of the monitored target. Another reason could be if you change hosting providers and would like to reset the results. We recommend using this feature carefully, as there is no ?undo? for this request.

January 17th, 2004Improved Test Tools

The very useful and popular Test Tools in the Member section have been upgraded. Now you can select the monitoring location from which the selected test to be performed. Use these tools to help you determine a problem and troubleshoot it much easier and quicker. Especially useful if you perform the regular monitoring from few monitoring locations and receive an error notification. Then you can run different tests from additional locations to determine if it is a local or global problem with your web site, server or provider.

October 5th, 2003New Feature - Voice Notifications for the UK

The very popular among our US and Canadian Customers notification-over-the-phone feature is now available and for our UK Customers. It has all the conveniences of a regular phone call - human voice of the text-to-speech engine reads the pre-configured text message with the error details and if the call is not answered, the system will leave a message in the subscriber's voice mail.

Save time by creating your Favorite Reports and retrieve them with one click. The number of reports you can create is unlimited and you can assign individual labels to each of them, edit them or delete them at any time.

September 15th, 2003New Feature - WAP Control Panel

In addition to the PDA browser compatible Control Panel, we have created a Control Panel for WAP capable cell phones and wireless devices. It provides you with the current status of your monitored targets real time 24/7. For more details, please go to the "Going Mobile" section in your control panel.

August 15th, 2003New Feature - Instant Test

The Instant Test feature has been added to help you determine faster where the problem is in case you have a failed server, web site or transaction. In the Current Status section of the Details for each target there is a button "Instant Test" for each monitoring location you have in your account. It will run an instant test from the selected location and present the results in your browser. The Instant Test is performed outside your scheduled tests and will not change them in any way.

July 16th, 2003New feature puts the False Alert Prevention System in your Control

The new addition to the "False Alert Prevention System" allows you to configure the way an error is reported. With the "Normal" setting if a failure is detected it will be confirmed with at least one additional monitoring location. The "Strong" level will report the error if at least 50% of the locations in your account are reporting that error. With the "Strict" option an error is reported only if all monitoring locations in your account report that error. Available from the Monitoring Locations section in your Control Panel.

July 10th, 2003New Feature - Updated Dependencies Rules

July 7th, 2003New Feature - Windows Based Transaction Recorder

In addition to the Web-based transaction recorder, an updated version of the windows recorder has been released. It will handle better the recording of transactions, which include a lot of Java scripts.

June 1st, 2003New Feature - Transaction Monitoring is Available now.

The system performs pre-recorded multi-step transactions the same way a customer would do: following links, clicking on buttons, completing forms, adding products to shopping carts, checking out, processing credit cards and many other possible actions. If a failure is detected, notifications are sent immediately.

April 30th, 2003New Feature - PayPal Payments Now Accepted

Payments through PayPal are now accepted in addition to credit card and check payments.

April 25th, 2003New Feature - Time to Keep Data is Available

Now you can select how long the system should keep your monitoring data. Intervals from 1 month to 12 months are available. Go to Customize Services to make your selection.

April 21st, 2003New Feature - Phone Alerts as Notification Option

Phone notifications via voice have been added to the service. The system will call any phone number in the USA and Canada and a human voice will read to you the alert message. The Alert messages are fully customizable. The system cam leave a message if a voice mail answers the call.
