Most people now book their vacations online because they can organize the whole trip via one website - from booking a hotel, to buying tickets for tourist sights, renting a car and what not. Booking a vacation online could be, however, quite frustrating as travelers now have thousands of websites to choose from, and not all of them are offering a great deal. Some of them are scams collecting personal information, others may require visitors to become members in order to take advantage of great offers. Even when vacation planners find a legitimate website with great deals, if its performance and availability are not flawless, they may lose interest and leave the website. That is why it’s of utmost importance that all vacation-planning websites are up and running 24/7 during the whole season. If a website is down or loads slowly, visitors may fail in booking their trip which could be a huge frustration. They are then likely to leave your website and go to a competitor one. We will be keeping a close eye on the performance of several of the most popular travel booking websites during the busiest booking period - May 19th - June 30th, 2014, and report their efficiency. The WebSitePulse Performance Reports will measure the websites’ uptime and response time as the most important metrics for the availability and the reliability of any web-based operation, critical for the End Users' overall online experience. Measurements of web transactions will be made every 15 minutes, simultaneously from 4 different monitoring locations.
