The fastest website during the monitoring period was harryanddavid.com. Its average response time was 5.1 sec. Surprisingly, however, the rest of the monitored targets scored considerably higher response time meaning their performance was far from perfect. Ftd.com, for example, had an average response time of 24 sec which lead the site to the bottom of the chart. The availability of the monitored websites, however, was notably better. Almost all of them scored above 99% meaning their downtime was brought down to a minimum. Once again, having a perfectly designed website and offering great items is only half of the job to have a successful business online. Keeping the visitors on your website is just as important as attracting them. And, in order to keep them, you must take care of your website’s performance and availability. Online customers lose attention and patience quickly and could switch to a competitor site as quickly as a blink of an eye. So, be smart and monitor your website.
