The 2026 Mother's Day Reports reflect a complete web transaction, representative for the End Users' interactions with a website. The reporting period covers the dates between May 2h and May 12th, 2026. Performance and availability measurements are made for a typical multi-step web transaction at 15 minute monitoring interval, every day 24/7. The WebSitePulse application monitoring service is used to collect data and to create the reports.
The steps in each transaction are comparable for all websites, and reflect the real online shopper experience. Websitepulse 2026 Mother's Day Performance & Uptime Report Summary
Mother’s Day 2026 has now passed, with consumers once again spending heavily on flowers, jewelry, chocolates, personalized gifts, and special experiences to celebrate the holiday. According to the National Retail Federation, Mother’s Day spending was expected to reach nearly $38 billion this year, as millions of shoppers relied on online retailers to browse and purchase gifts conveniently.
Now that the holiday is behind us, we have completed monitoring 11 of the most popular gift-shopping websites for our 2026 Mother’s Day Report. In this Performance Report, WebSitePulse measured the home page’s performance and a full web transaction that reflects end-user interactions with the site. The overall performance of most monitored gift-shopping websites demonstrated solid preparedness for the heavier web traffic during Mother’s Day week. We found that the average daily response time from all monitored websites was 2.356 seconds. The daily average responses by location are as follows:
The 2026 Mother’s Day monitoring period demonstrated strong overall stability among the observed retailers. Nearly all monitored websites maintained 100% uptime throughout the reporting period, successfully handling the seasonal increase in online traffic.
The only notable availability incidents were recorded by personalizationmall.com, which experienced minor interruptions from both Chicago and Washington monitoring locations on May 5, and gifttree.com, which recorded a brief availability issue from the Washington location on May 6.
In terms of response time performance, sees.com consistently delivered the fastest loading times across all monitoring locations, while fromyouflowers.com and proflowers.com also maintained very competitive response speeds throughout the observation period. Larger retail and jewelry platforms such as helzberg.com, 1800flowers.com, and gifts.com generally recorded higher response times but remained stable and fully operational during peak shopping activity.
Most monitored websites achieved perfect uptime throughout the reporting period, while response time performance remained stable even during the final shopping days before Mother’s Day.
Fast-loading websites such as sees.com, fromyouflowers.com, and proflowers.com demonstrated the advantages of lightweight and optimized shopping experiences during high-demand retail periods. Meanwhile, larger and more content-heavy retail platforms continued to provide reliable service despite longer response times.
As online shopping continues to dominate seasonal retail activity, maintaining strong uptime reliability and responsive user experiences remains essential for retailers competing during major holidays such as Mother’s Day.
