December 10th, 2004  New Monitoring Location in Seattle, WA

Today we have deployed a new monitoring location in Seattle, Washington. The station is part of the WebSitePulse Global Monitoring Network which already includes 10 monitoring locations around the Globe, and offers the most complete web monitoring services for our clients. The monitoring station is based in one of the best hosting datacenters Downtown Seattle. Internet connectivity is provided by Verio, Global Crossing and Genuity.

December 9th, 2004  New Feature - Full Page Snapshot

We are pleased to announce a new feature available to our current and future customers using the Website Monitoring service: Saved Snapshot of the monitored web pages. This allows customers to see exactly what the WebSitePulse system "saw" during the most recent check, so that if a problem was detected, Webmasters will be able to troubleshoot failed websites much faster and easier. The new feature increases the value of the website monitoring service because now webmasters have a reliable point of reference when investigating website failures or other functional problems.

November 26th, 2004  New Feature - Transaction Web Page Snapshot

We are pleased to announce a new feature available to our current and future customers using the Application Monitoring service: saved Snapshot of the transaction steps. This allows customers to see exactly how the WebSitePulse system "saw" the monitored web transaction during the most recent scheduled check, and if there is a problem, webmasters will be able to troubleshoot much faster and easier. The "Snapshot " feature increases the value of the application monitoring and web transaction monitoring services, because now webmasters have a reliable reference point when investigating application or other functional problems.

November 23rd, 2004  San Francisco Monitoring Location Migration

Please be advised that on November 25, 2004 at 5:00 am EST we will migrate our San Francisco monitoring location to a new data center. We do not expect any server downtime, but the IP address of this monitoring location will be changed from 69.50.184.26 to 69.59.185.156

If you need to add the new IP to your firewall or log-analyzing software, please do so before the announced day and time.

October 22nd, 2004  Monitoring Location IP address change

Please be advised that on October 22, 2004 at 4:00 am EDT we will change the IP address of our monitoring location in Brisbane, Australia from 202.76.147.143 to 202.60.69.100.

If you need to add the new IP to your firewall or log-analyzing software, please do so before the announced day and time.


August 9th, 2004  WSDL API Upgrade

We have just performed an upgrade of the WebSitePulse WSDL API. The new version allows customers to receive uptime statistics for periods larger than one month and provides fixes to some minor issues with the WSDL definition file. Although the upgraded version is fully backward compatible, we recommend that customers download the updated definition file from the link below:

May 13th, 2004  New Monitoring Station in New Zealand coming soon

A new monitoring location in Wellington, NZ will become available for our customers on 05/23/2004. The station will be part of the WebSitePulse Global Monitoring Network and will provide our Customers with the end user perspective measurements and results from this part of the world.

April 20th, 2004  New monitoring station in San Francisco, California is now available

Today we have deployed a new monitoring location in San Francisco, California. The station is part of the WebSitePulse Global Monitoring Network which already includes monitoring locations in the USA, Asia, Europe and Australia, and offers the most complete web monitoring solutions for our clients.

March 24th, 2004  New Monitoring Station in Singapore is Available

Today the monitoring location in Singapore just became active. The station is part of the WebSitePulse Global Monitoring Network and will provide our customers with the end users' perspective measurements and results from this part of the world.

February 27th, 2004  New Feature - Reset Monitoring Statistics

Based on our customers' requests we have added an option called 'Reset Stats' that will reset the uptime and performance statistics for the monitored website, web server or web transaction. The new option is especially useful when you have completed the set up of a particular target and want to remove any errors from the statistics that were as a result of miss-configuration or other error not related to the operation of the monitored website or server. Another reason could be if you change web hosting providers and would like to reset the statistics we maintain. We recommend using this feature carefully, as there is no 'undo' for this request.

January 17th, 2004  Improved Test Tools

The very useful and popular Test Tools in the Member section have been upgraded. Now you can select the monitoring location from which the specific test is to be performed. The Test Tools will help you determine the problem and troubleshoot it much faster and easier. The Tools are especially useful if you perform the regular monitoring from a few monitoring locations and receive an error notification. Then you can run different specific tests from additional monitoring locations to determine if it is a local or global problem with your website, web server or hosting provider.
